Take it Slow

Take it Slow and Notice

Intention
You are invited to slow down and notice objects around you.

NOTICE
Look around you and notice what is around you. If you are inside, take a moment to look at the plants in your home, the color of your furniture, your carpet, or anything that you might not normally pay attention. If you are outdoors, what stands out to you? What happens when you slow down and notice? How does it feel to take this extra time to observe?

EMOTION
What emotion(s) are you feeling today? Where are you feeling this in your body? How does slowing down impact your emotions?

ACTION
If you are inside, take a moment and step outside. Observe the world outdoors around you. Look for 1-2 new details, maybe a different car parked on the street, or a tree has blooms that you didn’t see before. What happens when you are fully present in this moment?

REFLECT
“What we once enjoyed and deeply love we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” (Helen Keller) What does this mean to you? How does this relate to your loss?
